About the founder

John Callahan
Raised in Massachusetts, John Callahan played in a wide range of competitive sports including Hockey, Baseball, Gymnastics, Swimming and Diving. The rare group of friends he played hockey with remained together for seven years and won five Massachusetts State Championships. Senior year in high school, John weighed just 160lbs and was bullied, so he focused on training to put on weight. His training discipline was unique as he tracked diet and exercise patterns for 12 consecutive months and found the secret to his physique (as an ectomorph) and the secret was less time in the gym, higher caloric intake and more rest. As a result of finding his KEY, his body responded with 90 lbs. in gains in ten years.
He began his career in graphic communications. For eight years he worked his way up the ranks of a large printing company while taking college courses at night and studying the silent patterns of the universe. Heisenberg, Niels Bohr, Rupert Sheldrake, Bruce Lipton, Wade Davis and the late great David R Hawkins became his favorite PhD’s among many others. Quantum mechanics became a hobby and his passion for biology and physiology expanded. In 1990 he began to reduce his training systematically as the weights took a toll on his body. It was at this time he moved to Southern California and worked in production for a leading media company for five years before being chosen as the lead consultant for the "Toyota Certified Used Car Program".

Business Experiences
He has held senior management / marketing positions within three fortune 100 companies Including Toyota, Mercedes Benz and H & R Block. John founded Insight Marketing Group in 1996 and scaled the company quickly by using his expertise in graphic communications and then migrated the firm into radio, TV and Internet marketing. Within its first year of operation, IMG had $8 million in gross sales and was published in Entrepreneur Magazine for being one of the fastest growing small businesses in America. By 2000 Insight was sold, and John was recruited by H&R Block to head up marketing for their new mortgage division after Blocks purchase of Option One in Irvine California. Within three months John reduced the marketing budget by 10%, saving Block $600,000 annually on direct mail. Promoted to Assistant Vice President of Marketing, John worked with senior executives at Block to plan permission-based lead generation programs, increased department revenue by 11% and assisted with the deployment and staff training of 13 retail branches. With his ability to innovate, John was appointed as a member of both the H&R Block Marketing Management Council and Enterprise Customer Relationship Team. During his tenure, John was troubled by some of the decisions being made about the type of loans being sold to the Block client base. He raised concerns which went on deaf ears so soon after he resigned citing concerns about a pending financial crisis, so he left to write a book about the pending disaster.

Purpose
John found immense satisfaction in helping people and knew this was his directional pursuit. Just after moving from California to Arizona in 2006, the financial crisis had begun, and his first book became the genesis of 360 Group which John co-founded and from 2008 to 2014 he and his partner helped homeowners mitigate negative equity during the real estate and financial crisis. John developed a Forensic Portfolio Review process enabling the company to match the bank’s ever-changing guidelines with qualified homeowners achieving a high success rate for his clients.
In 2010 John's second book was titled Finding Bliss in a complex world and put into writing everything he had learned about the lure of technology, possessions, debt, and the ever-increasing epidemic of prescription medications. This led to more research into plant-based health and the study of natural Phyto-Cannabinoid Rich compounds such as CBD, CBG, CBN and CBDVa. This then changed his life forever and he became passionate about helping people remove themselves from prescription medications causing severe side effects.

John founded azWholeistic in 2016 to help people educate themselves about plant-based supplements and herbal extracts such as Ashwagandha, Spirulina, Moringa, Reishi mushrooms and Hemp based Cannabinoids ( CBD, CBG, CBN, CBDVa ) as these compounds showed amazing benefits to homeostasis. AZW was the first CBD only retail store in the state of Arizona and during its apex sold over 145 unique products formulated by John. Between 2015 and 2019 five retail locations were opened. After seven years of 7-days a week 12-15 hour days John decided to sell, and take some time off as he was experiencing fatigue. In 2023 John founded My Mushroom Health and followed his passion from non psychotropic cannabinoids into mycology and the many benefits of beta-glucans for gut health. The mushroom company was also scaled and then sold. John's passion for plant based formulations included rare combinations of pre and pro biotics, amino acids, cannabinoids and functional mushrooms together. These super-nutrients are still an integral part of Johns focus. The gut controls the brain. A healthy gut flora is vital to balanced brain chemistry and is the first step to optimal mental focus and restful sleep patterns.
There is literally no condition that John cannot help you understand and mitigate without the need for toxic chemical prescription medications. Homeostasis can only be achieved by removing the condition (the toxins) that are preventing the body / brain from being in balance.
With these years of hands on empirical results, John is well suited to help anyone who seeks to find optimal balance with their nutritional protocols.
